As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced and results driven Inside Sales Representative to join our team and further strengthen our position in the market.
Position Overview:
The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for supporting the Outside Sales team with new business development opportunities as well as assisting with managing existing customer accounts. This role requires a proactive, self-motivated individual who can build strong relationships with clients, understand their business needs, and provide tailored solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience in B2B sales within the plastics, building materials, or industrial manufacturing sectors.
Duties & Responsibilities:
· Supporting the Order process by reviewing and inputting sales orders into IQMS; working with the Scheduling role to determine lead times; processing sales order acknowledgements and communicating lead times to customers; processing pick tickets to determine shipment configurations based on customer priorities.
· Supporting the Sales team by handling customer communication and questions related to order status, shipment dates, etc.; while determining customer priorities and working with Scheduling role to adjust the schedule, when needed.
· Customer Service – Process and communicate customer complaints / issues. Work with the rest of the team to ensure proper resolutions are completed (i.e. credits, replacement material, etc.).
· Sample Process – Support the sample process; put together samples / marketing materials, ship samples.
· Onboarding Process – Support the onboarding checklist and process to ensure completeness of all tasks by various responsible parties.
· Pricing – Assist with putting together customer price sheets and communication for review. Running the pricing calculator for new customers / new profiles for review.
· Quotes – Assist with putting together quotes to support the sales reps when traveling.
· Data Management / Reporting – Supporting the sales team by managing sales data and database; produce weekly reporting; providing the preliminary sales and resin forecasts for review.
· Supporting New Lead Generation by researching the web and other databases for new leads; managing and qualifying inbound leads (website, sales email, sales phone); using tools to qualify leads and find first contact for outside sales reps.
· Support sales team by providing exceptional service, understanding customer needs, foster relationships, resolving any issues that may arise post-sale, offer value-driven solutions and identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities.
· Collaborate with internal teams to ensure product availability, timely delivery, relay customer feedback and provide superior customer service.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills / Abilities:
· Proven track record of providing excellent customer service while building client relationships.
· Strong business acumen with the ability to understand complex manufacturing processes and present technical solutions.
· Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
· Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and travel as required.
· Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
· Experience within the plastics, building materials, or industrial manufacturing sectors.
· Proficient with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce), Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education & Experience:
· Associate’s degree in Business or relevant work experience required, Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field preferred.
· Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in inside B2B sales.
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
· May need to be able to travel.
