IT Business Systems Specialist
Position Summary:
Successful IT Business Systems Specialist will enjoy the challenges of leveraging the company’s investment in technology and related operational processes for strategic advantage and efficiencies, to enable our company to significantly grow revenues and our bottom line.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Monitor business systems to ensure stability, integrity, and efficiency is maintained to include DelmiaWorks, UKG, etc.
Develop reports using SQL queries and update Crystal Reports
Implement configurations for new or existing software systems to meet business requirements
Follow and maintain IT standards based upon industry best practices and business requirements
Implement new, and/or maintain current, IT systems
Collaborate with cross functional team members to understand organizational and operational challenges
Recommend and follow the data governance model and assist with developing the data strategy
Maintain and update various test plans, as well as overall system quality assurance; follow testing standards for IT Business System updates/changes
Assist with communication plans; provide timely dissemination of communications for system changes; provide support and resource requirements associated with each change
Maintain business requirements and system documentation
Maintain awareness of accessibility, compliance, and security polices and guidelines
Build processes that support the growth of the company by simplifying, streamlining, and automating business operations—whether within a team or across multiple teams
Work with business and technology stakeholders to ensure the platform is configured and operates as an effective and efficient system
Perform hands-on work in configuration, scripting, programming, and report writing to support data analysis needs/requests within the company
Troubleshoot system issues and escalate, as appropriate
Essential Functions:
Update Crystal Reports and SQL queries as needed per business requirements for applications to include: DelmiaWorks (formerly IQMS), UKG, etc.
Document and maintain business process maps for all functions within the organization
Logical thinker with a drive for efficiency and curiosity about processes and technology
Solid communication skills (verbal and written)
Continues personal development and keeps up to date on various IT topics & technologies related to systems and standards

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
AAS in Information Technology or 2 to 4 years of experience in IT, Operations, Business Process, Business Consulting, Product Management
1 to 2 years of SQL scripting and/or programming

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to occasionally loud and PPE is required. Appropriate hearing protection while in the plant is required as noise levels within the facility meet OSHA requirements for hearing protection equipment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This position typically work in an office environment and occasionally may need to complete a project that sometimes take them to non-standard workplaces. The noise level in the plant work environment can be loud.
